The evolution of Sun Ra Emacs started as a simple Emacs configuration.

I had already declared Emacs bankruptcy a few times prior. And maintaining this effort, still proved too time consuming. So I just whittled it down to, initially a Spacemacs layer.

That eventually transitioned to just a Doom layer, stored in my dotfiles configuration.

This has been working fine. But I have to say that the most tickled I've been is vibe coding (thank-you Claude Opus 4.6) my own Sun Ra Emacs icons :) These are newly minted .png files. And I haven't yet needed to make .ico files. So come one, come all. And enjoy the final outcome of a long pilgrimage. There is still a long way to journey. But I feel confident sharing the fruits thus far.
